Nova Group was founded in Almaty in 2006 by Askar ZHUMABEKOV. From its earliest years the company chose a clear approach — “never alone, always with the right partner” — forming joint ventures for major public- and private-sector construction projects. This model has delivered a wide range of facilities across Kazakhstan, including the airport complex in Almaty.
Working on live facilities — airports and terminals — shaped the company’s planning discipline: phased handovers, real-time site coordination, international procurement and multilingual project management. Today the same management standard applies from the Almaty head office to our offices in Moscow, Astana, Bishkek and Dubai.

Milestones
Nova Group was founded in Almaty by Askar ZHUMABEKOV; in the same period the company took on its first construction projects in Kazakhstan.
The joint-venture approach became the corporate standard: joint tenders and joint site management.
Construction works at the Almaty airport complex, carried out without interrupting operations.
Offices opened in Bishkek and Dubai; procurement, financing and business development expanded into Central Asia and the Gulf.
The chairmanship of the Board passed to Can TOKSÖZ; a programme of institutionalisation and regional growth began.
The company is preparing to launch a new project in Kazakhstan; the project team is being assembled in Almaty and Astana.
Leadership
2006 — Founding
Founded Nova Group in Almaty in 2006. In the early years he established the principle the group still follows today: to take on major projects as a joint venture — together with a partner who knows the site.
2020 — present
Became Chairman of the Board in 2020. His priorities are the group’s regional growth anchored in Kazakhstan, international joint ventures and the delivery of national-scale projects in Kazakhstan.
General Coordinator
Responsible for the group’s overall coordination: he aligns the work of offices, projects and departments and, as Vice Chairman of the Board, ensures that board decisions are carried through.
The Board of Directors approves investment decisions, partnership structures and business relationships covered by confidentiality agreements. Nova Group’s scope of responsibility in each joint venture is set by Board resolution for every project and stated explicitly in the contract.

Boryspil is Ukraine's principal international gateway, and Terminal D is the country's largest passenger terminal. It was completed ahead of the UEFA EURO 2012 tournament so the country could handle the corresponding volume of air traffic.
The project is one of the most visible works of the Turkish contracting sector in Ukraine. The joint venture structure formed with Doğuş, Alarko and YDA demonstrated TIGA Holding's capacity to act as a consortium partner on large-scale public infrastructure.
The campus was built as the main venue for the APEC Summit held in Vladivostok in September 2012, and transferred to Far Eastern Federal University after the summit. It is among Russia's largest single-campus investments of the modern era.
Running in parallel with the bridge that connected Russky Island to the mainland, the transformation required a campus to be raised on the island from nothing. Delivering dozens of separate buildings simultaneously, against the fixed date of an international summit, is the project's defining difficulty.
Afimall City sits at the very centre of the Moscow International Business Centre, forming the retail core of the towers that surround it. At the time it opened it was named among the largest retail and commercial centres in Europe.
The building's engineering signature is the elliptical atrium that binds every level into a single volume, and the long-span steel-and-glass roof that covers it. Spanning that distance is the technical element that separates the project from a standard commercial build.
Kuntsevo Plaza stands on Yartsevskaya Street in western Moscow, immediately beside Molodyozhnaya metro station. Following the decision to demolish the centre that had operated on the site since 1997 and build a new complex in its place, redevelopment began in 2011.
At 245,000 m² in total area it is among the largest mixed-use centres in western Moscow, with 61,000 m² of leasable retail space. Resolving retail, office and parking functions within a single building, and running demolition and reconstruction inside a working urban fabric, is what sets the project apart. TIGA Holding worked on the project as a subcontractor.
The building is the home of the Moscow Art Theatre founded by Stanislavski and Nemirovich-Danchenko; Chekhov's plays were first interpreted on this stage, and the building became central to the history of Russian theatre. Its facade and interior were remodelled for the theatre in 1902 by Fyodor Shekhtel, the leading architect of Russian Art Nouveau.
Working on a federally protected building requires that construction follow a conservation-board approved design and decisions about original materials and detailing. This work is the reference that shows the company's competence extends beyond new build into the discipline of restoration.
Lobnya lies north of Moscow, adjacent to Sheremetyevo Airport, which places it on one of the region's busiest logistics corridors. That position has made the town a preferred location for storage and distribution facilities.
Warehouse buildings combine the demands of industrial construction: a long-span steel structural system, heavy floor loading and a loading-dock layout; the project was completed and handed over on this basis.
